Install FuzeVPN on a router or internet box

Set up on your router, FuzeVPN protects every connected device, TV, consoles and smart devices included, for a single device place.

Why go through the router

A router set up with FuzeVPN sends everything connected to it through the VPN, including devices that accept no VPN app: TV, game console, speaker or smart devices.

The router counts as a single device within your limit of 5. Its guaranteed 50 Mbit/s is shared between the devices that go through it.

What you need

  • A router or internet box that accepts a WireGuard or OpenVPN VPN client, for example OpenWrt, Asus routers or some internet providers’ boxes.
  • A FuzeVPN configuration file, created in your customer area: WireGuard if possible, the lightest for a router.
  • Access to the router’s administration interface.

Install the file on the router

  1. File

Create a WireGuard or OpenVPN file in the Devices section of your customer area, for the location you want.

  2. VPN client

Open the router’s interface and its VPN client section; its name varies by model, and the router’s documentation shows where to find it.

  3. Import

Import the file, or copy its fields if the router asks for them, then turn on the connection.

  4. Check

From a device connected to the router, check your IP address with our tool: it should match the chosen location.

Good to know

To change location, create a new file and replace the old one on the router.

A WireGuard file does not expire; an OpenVPN file stays valid for the duration chosen when it was created, 90 days by default.
