Android’s always-on VPN with FuzeVPN

With “Always-on VPN” and “Block connections without VPN”, your phone stays protected continuously, even after a restart. FuzeVPN supports them with WireGuard and OpenVPN.

Turn on the always-on VPN

  1. First connection

Connect once in FuzeVPN: the app saves the profile used for automatic reconnections.

  2. VPN settings

Open Settings → Network & internet → VPN, then the gear icon next to FuzeVPN. Labels may vary by phone.

  3. Always-on VPN

Turn on “Always-on VPN”: the VPN reconnects by itself, including after a restart.

  4. Blocking

Turn on “Block connections without VPN”: your apps reach the network only through the VPN, and the internet waits for the tunnel to come back if it is interrupted.

Disconnect

While the always-on VPN is active, the disconnect button and the FuzeVPN tile take you straight to Android’s VPN settings.

  1. VPN settings

    Open Android’s VPN settings.

  2. Blocking

Turn off “Block connections without VPN”.

  3. Always-on VPN

    Turn off “Always-on VPN”.

  4. FuzeVPN

    Disconnect FuzeVPN if needed.

If there is a problem

Check Wi-Fi or mobile data, open FuzeVPN to read the message shown, then connect again. After a restart, unlock the phone: the encrypted profile then becomes available.

If your account or profile needs to be repaired online, briefly turn off both options, repair the connection in FuzeVPN, then turn them back on.
